Reem is an Associate Consultant in the advisory department at Emkan Education. She is a MiSK Graduate Fellow and holds a master’s degree in Cognitive Science in Education, from Teachers College Columbia University. Her Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley. Prior to starting her graduate program in New York, Reem worked at Effat University in the students’ support services under the Deanship of Student Affairs. Reem’s experience with students’ support services started at UC Berkeley, where she first-hand explored the connection between theories of cognition and student learning through directly engaging with students in math tutoring and teaching. She has also supported various student leadership programs at UC Berkeley, and worked with teams of graduate student consultants in public policy and education initiatives at Columbia Law.
