Job description & summary

Emkan Consultant works diligently and collaboratively within high-performing teams, and continually models and displays exceptional professional consulting skills to solve our Client’s problem / challenge and deliver the results we intend.

Consultants play a significant role on Client projects; working closely with Executive Leadership, Managers, Project Leaders and working teams to collaboratively identify, define and address Client needs and requirements. During projects, our Consultant collaboratively and/or independently conducts research activities, comprehensive analysis, synthesizes findings/takeaways from complex information analysis, and actively formulate relevant recommendations. Our Consultants work effectively with both Emkan and Client working teams to ensure that our Clients are presented with transformative, bespoke strategies and plans that are effective, implementable, deliver value and create positive, long-lasting impact.

Moreover, Emkan’s Consultants work collaboratively with the Head of Department, Managers, Project Leaders and consulting team to further enhance the Department’s resources, operational processes and practices applied. Our Consultant plays a key role in accomplishing Departmental objectives and enhancing systems and processes in place. Additionally, they work alongside the team to upgrade Emkan modules, frameworks and templates as required

Consultant’s key roles and responsibilities

Executes projects, takes initiatives, develop content & delivers results by taking ownership & accountability

  • Develop content & presentations based on project needs that are of a high quality.
  • Contribute to the development of the deliverable storyline.
  • Complete tasks within the required timeframe, with minimal follow-up from the leader.

Develop core consultancy skills:

  • Collects qualitative and quantitative data from a range of credible/valid sources.
  • Identifies and cites a range of information sources.
  • Interprets data & identifies key findings.
  • Present data findings/work to team members.
  • Checks for consistency in his/her work submitted (i.e.: linguistic consistency, content cohesiveness, numbers and findings consistency, visual consistency).
  • Minimize the amount of feedback & corrections required for a given output.
  • Written & verbal communication is concise, tangible and clear in both languages.
  • Is able to visually represent concepts, applying Emkan PPT standards.

Facilitate business development & productive working relationship with Clients, partners & external stakeholders

  • Support in creating content, presentations and/or proposals based on Client’s, partners and/or stakeholder needs and context.
  • Demonstrates respect & foster positive relationships with clients.
  • Contribute to the generation of BD opportunities & potential clients/projects.

Supports in building team members’ capability & dept resources, processes

  • Actively participate in scheduled training & knowledge transfer sessions
  • Build supportive and cooperative relationship with team members & staff
  • Support team members by providing constructive feedback as required
  • Complete assigned OKRs & duties, monitor OKRs with support

Contributes to enhancing Emkan’s IP, brand & offerings

  • Support in upgrading Emkan modules, frameworks & templates as required.
  • Participate in 1 Emkan committee.

Skills required

– Fluent in English and Arabic (speaking, writing, listening, presenting)
– High degree of professionalism
– Fast learner

Qualifications and Experience

– 1-year prior as consulting, education and/or relevant experience at a well-known local or multinational firm.
– Passion for education, human capital development.
– Knowledge of Saudi education & human capacity development landscape & ecosystem (preferred).
– Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
– Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
