Job description & summary

The Senior Human Resources Officer will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) Department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, leave, enforcing company policies and practices and supporting the companies HR operations by maintaining the company’s systems and supervising the staff.

Senior Human Resources Officer’ Main Responsibilities

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff across the departments.
  • Plans recruitment campaigns annually to insure a continuous supply of talents for the company.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles the discipline and termination of employees in accordance with the company’s policy.
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy as it relates to current and future talent needs.
  • Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex and sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial and professional roles.
  • Collaborates with the departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for any openings.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes a competitive base and incentive pay program to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning and development programs/training and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with the local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Reviews and approves employee payroll.
  • Designs filing systems for HR files.
  • Works on building and improving the company’s CV records and database.
  • Reviews PDP templates and updates it if needed.
  • Ensures implementation of the PDP system across all departments every quarter.
  • Presents final reports on PDP to the direct manager and to the promotions committee end of year.
  • Contributes to the team’s effort by supporting in projects and events if needed.
  • Plans and arranges the annual professional development plan and calendar for the company.
  • Reviews employees’ contracts and updates them when needed according to the Saudi Labor Law.
  • Follows up with employee’s medical insurance plans and contracts with the service providers (adding, removing, renewing, updating employee’s information).
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.

Qualifications and Experience

– 2-3 years of human resource management experience or any related field.
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or any related field.
– Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning.
– Knowledge of the Saudi Law and Regulations, labor law, etc (preferred).
